Overview
The AV Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s audio-visual and conferencing environment. This role ensures seamless operation of meeting technology, event support, and multimedia systems while delivering a high level of service to internal stakeholders. The position may also provide guidance and support to other locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional, user-focused support for all audio-visual and conferencing needs

  • Set up, operate, and dismantle AV equipment for meetings, conferences, and events

  • Provide day-to-day support for conference rooms and collaboration spaces

  • Respond promptly to urgent or unplanned support requests from the service desk

  • Ensure all meeting spaces are fully functional, organized, and presentation-ready

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to AV hardware and systems

  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and event organizers to confirm technical requirements

  • Assist in scheduling and allocating AV resources across meetings and events

  • Support ongoing improvements to AV processes and user experience

  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications & Skills

  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, Webex, or similar tools

  • Hands-on experience with audio-visual equipment and event technology

  • Exposure to video and audio editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus

  • Understanding of video conferencing systems and integrated AV hardware

  • Experience with control systems such as Crestron or Extron is preferred

  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and enterprise IT environments

  • Comfortable working with both Windows and macOS systems

  • Understanding of structured cabling (e.g., UTP, telephony)

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly learn new technologies

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
