A dynamic legal technology firm with a strong global presence and a focus on innovation is seeking an AI Business Systems Developer to enhance its information services and AI-driven initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to develop cutting-edge web applications and autonomous processes within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, reporting directly to the Head of AI Business Systems.
Role Overview
The AI Business Systems Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-integrated solutions that streamline business operations and improve efficiency. The successful candidate will contribute to building scalable systems, establish development standards, and evaluate emerging AI technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ASP.NET MVC web applications with an emphasis on AI-enabled features and system integrations.
- Create and manage standalone worker processes utilizing Microsoft technology stack, integrating AI capabilities to perform autonomous and repetitive tasks.
- Standardize agent development practices, including Skills management, MCP server configurations, and agent parameters (e.g., AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md), ensuring scalable and consistent deployment.
- Collaborate in evaluating new technological advancements, especially in AI-assisted automation and natural language processing.
- Contribute ideas to improve existing coding standards, participate in code reviews, and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions.
- Work closely with end-users, cross-functional teams, and external vendors (software providers, consultants, integrators) to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Provide regular project status updates to management and participate in continuous process improvements.
Core Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience with C#.NET, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, XML, T-SQL, and SQL Server reporting services (SSRS).
- Proven experience developing AI-driven or code-generating solutions, including familiarity with Codex, Claude Code, or Open Code frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with MCP server environments and Skills platform development is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience complemented by relevant coursework.
- Strong coding practices, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Prior experience within the legal industry or enterprise legal software.
- Worked with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with legal-specific systems (e.g., iManage Cloud API, SharePoint, Aderant, Workday) and scripting tools like PowerShell.
- Exposure to CRM and document management platforms such as Salesforce.
