Job Description


Our client, a prestigous law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal Manager to join their team in Bergen County NJ! 

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the day-to-day management of litigation paralegals, including assignment distribution, workload balancing, and process coordination.

  • Collaborate with attorneys to assess staffing requirements and prioritize tasks and caseloads.

  • Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to the paralegal team.

  • Conduct regular team meetings and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.

  • Review, edit, and finalize legal documents including memoranda and briefs; ensure accurate citation formatting using Bluebook standards.

  • Handle electronic court filings (e.g., complaints, briefs, declarations, affidavits) through federal and state systems.

  • Manage interactions with external platforms (e.g., PacerPro, NetDocs, Box, ECFx), including downloading, organizing, and naming documents according to firm protocols.

  • Support pretrial and trial preparation, such as compiling trial binders, organizing exhibits, and maintaining calendars and deadlines.

  • Draft standard legal correspondence and documents, including proofs of service, civil cover sheets, subpoenas, notices of appearance, and pro hac vice motions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.

  • 8–10 years of litigation experience, ideally in complex, mass tort, or class action matters.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Skilled in Adobe Acrobat and electronic court filing systems, especially PACER/ECF.

  • Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw or Lexis for citation and case law review.

  • Familiarity with document management systems like Relativity and the ability to quickly learn new software.

  • Courtroom and trial preparation experience strongly preferred.
