This pivotal role involves resource planning, recruitment, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures, benefits management, and employee relations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Managerial Support:
- Provide managerial and administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
- Continuously evaluate current Firm policies and procedures, making recommendations for improvement.

Recruitment and Hiring:
- Lead Firmwide recruiting, hiring, development, and retention programs in compliance with state/federal regulations and employment law practices.
- Determine staffing needs, maintaining benchmarked staffing ratios and trends.

Staff Oversight:
- Oversee non-exempt personnel, including administrative assistants and clerical staff, ensuring Firm expectations are met.

Employee Relations:
- Oversee employee relations and resolution of employment conflicts.

Leave of Absence:
- Work with Firm personnel to ensure compliance in handling requests for leaves of absence.

Benefits Coordination:
- Coordinate with Chief Human Resources Officer and Payroll and Benefits Coordinator on all Firm benefit plans, including 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan.

Job Descriptions:
- Ensure the Firm has updated standard job descriptions for support staff and conduct timely reviews.

Communication and Reporting:
- Keep Firm Managing Partners and Chief Human Resources Officer informed of HR matters.
- Assist with reports and financial analysis as requested.
- Assist with the integration of new attorneys.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer or Firm Managing Partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field; prior law firm experience, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR certification is a plus.
- Approximately 4+ years of progressively responsible work experience in legal or other professional service organizations.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and analyze complex issues, with the ability to recommend and implement solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with partners, attorneys, and staff.
- Broad knowledge of law firm services, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office.
