Job Description
Our client, a mulitnational law firm, is seeking a Benefits Analyst/Benefits Specialist to support their team in NY or San Francisco!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process group insurance invoices adhering to benefit plans, insurance guidelines, and contracts.
- Handle monthly compliance payments and reconcile invoices for accuracy.
- Prepare manual vendor rosters and administer new enrollments, terminations, and family status changes.
- Manage intranet portal updates and document management system maintenance.
- Coordinate monthly information to vendors and provide assistance to stakeholders on various benefits topics.
- Process benefits changes in Workday, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Track benefits eligibility and enrollment using databases, and maintain and update rosters.
- Coordinate reporting, recordkeeping, and auditing between the Benefits Department and internal/external contacts.
- Manage accounting procedures for benefits payments during leaves of absence and separation periods.
- Research and resolve complex insurance claim and eligibility issues.
- Oversee maintenance of benefit files, group insurance plan documents, forms, and supplies.
- Perform special projects and assigned duties.
1. Around six years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in leaves of absence and health & welfare benefits administration preferred.
2. Working knowledge of group insurance programs, contracts, policies and procedures.
3. Strong knowledge of laws and regulations for employer sponsored benefit plans including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Section 125 Plans.
4. Excellent attention to detail skills in all areas, including writing, copy editing, researching, and managing data.
5. Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines.
6. Talent for creating client satisfaction; demonstrated ability to focus on the client value in all work.
