Job Description
Job Summary:
We seek a skilled IT Event Support and Project Manager to plan, execute, and manage IT infrastructure for events. Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, managing project timelines, providing on-site technical support, and offering help desk services during events and in the office. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IT networking, including DHCP and WiFi router setup, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event IT Support:
- Plan, configure, and deploy IT infrastructure for events.
- Provide on-site technical support to ensure smooth IT operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues during events.
2. Project Management:
- Develop project plans for IT event support, including timelines and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to meet project requirements.
- Monitor and adjust project progress for successful delivery.
3. Vendor Management:
- Identify and evaluate vendors for IT equipment and services.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain vendor relationships.
- Ensure timely delivery and setup of IT infrastructure.
4. Technical Expertise:
- Configure and manage DHCP servers and WiFi routers.
- Provide field support for IT setups and troubleshooting.
- Stay updated on IT networking technologies and best practices.
5. Help Desk Support:
- Offer help desk services during events and in the office.
- Manage help desk tickets for timely IT problem resolution.
- Communicate effectively with users to provide solutions.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain documentation for event IT setups.
- Prepare post-event reports on IT performance and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of DHCP, WiFi routers, and general networking principles.
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.
